Best Season: A the year
Paragliding in Nepal allows an aerial view of the Himalayas. Nepal’s sky will give you one of the best scenery on earth, as you share airspace with Himalayan griffin vultures, eagles, and kites and float over villages, monasteries, temples, lakes and jungle, with a fantastic view of the majestic Himalayas.
Pokhara, the beautiful lakeside town at the foot of the Annapurna Mountains offers paragliding services. Your launching place is at Sarangkot, a hill station 25 minutes’ jeep drive above the lakeside. Sarangkot is 1600m above sea level. You launch by using the thermals and rise above Sarangkot to see the stunning panorama of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Fishtail. The best season is from October through April. Located in the broad valley at an altitude of 800m, the reliable climate of this region allows consistent and friendly conditions for paragliding pilots.
