October and November: These are peak months to trek in Nepal. Relatively, these two months are considered the best. Trekkers enjoy mild temperatures, a clear view of nature, and a very consistent climate during these months. However, these months are really busy. Popular destinations like Everest Base Camp, Annapurna region, Langtang and others get many trekkers. Tourism hub places like Kathmandu and Pokhara are packed with tourists.
February – April: These months are considered the second best time to trek in Nepal. For Trekkers who like less crowd and more time to explore, this is the perfect time for them. The climate is more or less similar to the fall season. Moreover, there is a bit of inconsistency in the climate. The lower part might get a bit hazy but high lands are clear and beautiful.
September and December: This season gets a bit tricky for trekking in Nepal. September could be a perfect time but sometimes the trekking season starts early which might result in crowded conditions in mountains. Also, Mansoon in Nepal can stay longer sometimes. December is perfect for clear mountain views, and a stable climate but it gets really cold in the Himalayas. Due to excessive cold and snowy conditions, most of the tea houses are closed in December.
May-August: This is a monsoon season in Nepal which is normally considered unsuitable for trekking. However, trekking in a region like Dolpa, mustang could still be good for trekkers. Monsoon in Nepal is cloudy, hot and hazy. Some of the trekkers hike this season because they love the colour of nature, beautiful flowers and green everywhere. Trekking in this season is hard because Mountain roads get really bad and most of the trekking trails get messy.
